The Atatürk Dam

Atatürk Dam is the centerpiece of the 21 dams of the Southeastern Anatolia Project of Turkey and is built on the Euphrates river and completed in 1990. It is one of the world's largest earth-and-rock fill dams, with the embankment 604 feet (184 m) high and 5971 feet (1820 m). The Atatürk dam lake has a total area of 817 km² (320 miles²).Power is 8x300=2400 MW.
